The Bill Healy Foundation in Portland, Oregon has granted Hoʻōla Nā Pua an award of $25,000 for General Operating Funds and Children’s programs and projects.
The funds granted to us from the Bill Healy Foundation will contribute towards the development and operating costs to renovate our existing building for the purpose of providing restorative therapeutic services to young girls recovered from sex trafficking.
Simply put, they are helping us to build Pearl Haven.
Hoʻōla Nā Pua’s vision well fits the mission of the Bill Healy Foundation:
“The Purpose of the Bill Healy Foundation is committed to responsible grant making through thoughtful choices. We recognize the fragile interdependence between the environment and human beings. […]
The children are our future. We have an opportunity and a responsibility to offer support, understanding, and guidance that gives them educated, informed and compassionate choices for a better quality and appreciation of life.”
Since 1995, The Bill Healy Foundation have given immense amounts of grant money to organizations in both Oregon and Hawaiʻi with interests in environmental improvement and/or the benefit of our future generations.
We are very thankful that we are able to partner with the Bill Healy Foundation to combine our efforts to fulfill our organization’s mission of the rescue and restoration of sex trafficked, traumatized child victims.
