Coinciding with the opening day of the Hawaii Legislature, hundreds of vested residents will come together to learn more about the fight against child sex-trafficking and exploitation. Together with HNP staff and volunteers, they will peacefully protest in advocacy with a walk from downtown Honolulu to the Hawaii State Capitol. The HNP Walk & Fair commits to bringing awareness to the issue of trafficking in support of legislation that funds the essential work to end this crisis in Hawaii.

The Bromley Family Pearl Haven Campus (Pearl Haven), a program of Ho‘ōla Nā Pua, is a premier Special Treatment Facility (STF) that opened in June 2021. Pearl Haven’s 32-bed, residential treatment program, is designed to provide a continuum of care and trauma-informed therapeutic services for youth ages 11-17, determined to have Severe Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances (SEBD), with an emphasis on youth who have experienced sexual trauma or are at high-risk of sexual exploitation and/or trafficking. As a fully licensed special treatment facility (STF), with approved credentials from Medicaid AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Medicaid, Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare, Cigna and Tri-Care, Pearl Haven is open and accepting referrals to provide critical-care services for eligible youth, ages 11-17, who have a confirmed SEBD case and payer source.
The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly. In support of this global observance, Ho‘ōla Nā Pua activates a series of advocacy community events throughout the State of Hawaii.
This highly anticipated fundraising event features an in-depth look at Ho‘ōla Nā Pua’s newest residential program, The Bromley FamilyPearl Haven Campus, which opened amid the pandemic. The beneficiary evening will include live entertainment, a five-course dinner, premier live auction, hope-filled testimonials from foundational HNP programs such as Hōkū Groups, Starfish Mentoring and Education, Awareness & Training and the presentation of The Advocacy Awards honoring community leaders who are making a difference in the lives of Hawai‘i’s at-risk youth.
